This is the 9 days Memorable classic Safari that takes all most famous parks in north Tanzania, From the golden plains of the Serengeti to the lush exclusivity of Tarangire; from the russets of Lake Natron to the pink shimmer of flamingo on Soda Lake at the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll travel across a glorious patchwork of habitats framed eternally by deep blue skies, golden horizons and the indigo of star-filled nights. And all this, of course, with the opportunity to watch some of the most spectacular animals on the planet, including the Big five as well as Big cats. Never find the big Adventures more than this.

ITINERARY

Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha.

Day one of your Local  Mount Meru Safari Zanzibar experience is fairly simple. Our driver will transport you from the airport to the hotel in Arusha.

Arusha Town Tour

Arusha is the city in Northern Tanzania. Nestled at the base of Mount Meru,is the third largest city in Tanzania known as ‘Geneva of Africa’, With population of more than 1.2 million.

Take your time to discover the beauty of Arusha city from Clock tower (the half way between Cairo Egypt to Johannesburg South Africa) and take walking to Maasai Market, proceed to Arusha Declaration monument and museum, central market to learn different African spices, vegetable and fruits, visit Arusha City bus terminal, then later drive to Cultural Heritage Centre for shopping and visit Snake park and Maasai boma at the same place (option to visit snake park) after enjoying different kinds of snake, birds, crocodiles, tortoise etc. Drive back to your hotel.

Arusha to Miriakamba Hut

We will depart from the hotel in Arusha in the morning. Our expedition begins with a drive to Arusha National Park which takes approximately 45 Minutes. The lively vegetation in the park is extremely versatile. The infamous film Hartari starring Hollywood’s Hardy Kruger and John Wayne was shot in the park. Once we have completed the necessary park formalities, our trek will officially commence close to the Ngarenanyuki River. Our first waypoint is the Miriakamba. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger and a professional mountain guide throughout the duration of the walk. During the walk you will encounter a vast amount of wildlife including buffalo, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and gazelles. Your guide will identify the different bird species you come across. There is a possibility that you will see leopards or elephants but they tend to be more reserved compared to the ones in the Serengeti. We will stop at the Miriakamba Hut where we will spend the night and enjoy an appetising dinner.

Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

We will start the day with an energy dense breakfast and then we will follow the steep path to the Saddle Hut. The trek to little Meru can be completed once you arrive at the Saddle Hut. We will return to the Saddle hut and have dinner. Due to the fact that you will wake up at midnight to hike to the summit of Mount Meru, it is recommended that you attempt to fall asleep shortly after dinner.

Saddle Hut to Momela Gate to Arusha

We will begin the final leg of our journey to the peak of Mount Meru around midnight. Your headlamp will assist you in the early hours of the hike. Reaching the summit is the most difficult part of the journey due to the fact that the trail is exceedingly steep. We have allocated some time for photos and a moment to comprehend what you have achieved. The scenic view of the mountains as you descend to the Momela Gate is simply mesmerizing. We will briefly stop at the Saddle hut for lunch. The final hours of our journey will be spent trekking to the Momela Gate. You will have a chance to hike amid the Meru cloud forest. This trail tends be slippery so it is important to step consciously. A Papagei Tours vehicle will transport you from the Momela gate back to where you began. You will have the opportunity to purchase sodas and Mount Meru climbing shirts to prove that you conquered the trek.

Lake Duluti Tour

Lake Duluti is a Crater lake in the Arusha region of Tanzania, on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great rift Valley. It is located in Arumeru District  near the town of Tengeru and is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Arusha city centre and 1.31 kilometres (0.81 mi) from the Arusha-Moshi road.

Lake Duluti is surrounded by a thick forest that is home to a number of reptiles like lizards and snakes while the lake itself is a sanctuary for varies bird species. Exploring the area around Lake Duluti is quite fun. Enjoy canoeing at Lake Duluti as well as the hike at the Duluti Forest and get to see the different animal and plant species.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Mto wa Mbu

You will depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to the Tarangire National Park where you will discover the true enormity of the deserted termite mounds and ancient baobab trees. The colossal herds of African elephants dominate the golden savannah and screeching flocks of the striking yellow collared lovebird can be heard from miles away. The wildlife that roams the scenic landscape of the Tarangire includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes and baboons. You will spend your first dinner and  night at the Camp near Lake Manyara.

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

We will depart for the Serengeti National park once you have finished your appetising breakfast. If you are lucky you may encounter the odd animal on route because we pass via the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Tanzania's oldest and most frequented national park, that is also a world heritage site and recently branded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Serengeti is renowned for the annual migration of the herds and ever growing wildlife population. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the kopjes (rock outcropping). Our game drive will venture further into the park. After the game drive, we will proceed to the Serengeti Camp where you will be provided with comprehensive camping facilities and an appetising meal.

 Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

We will begin our day with an early morning game drive in the central Serengeti. The savannah is an active landscape and the air is flooded with the melodies the birds create as the regenerated sunlight starts to illuminate the full landscape. Your guide will study the prints on the ground to pursue predators. We will travel to the Simba campsite, located near the rim of the crater. You will be provided with dinner and satisfactory camping facilities.

Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

A scarce amount safari destinations produce the same experience as the Ngorongoro Crater – the game viewing is simply effortless. Most animals remain within the crater due to its high walls. This is the perfect location to view every member of ‘The Big 5’ in one day. We will have a wonderful picnic lunch inside the crater. The unfilled caldera is also home to hyenas, hippo, zebra, wildebeest and an impressive variety of water birds. Your guide will enlighten you by sharing facts about the animals, vegetation and locating hidden animals. Dinner and overnight in Mto wa Mbu.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park provides a picturesque, varying scenery. We will have a picnic lunch in the beautiful park. Assorted habitats including rainforests, the Soda Lake and the savannah support the highly diverse ecosystem. With over four hundred bird species, some of which are migratory, the reserve is a birdwatcher's delight. Lake Manyara houses the legendary tree climbing lions as well as buffalo, elephants, giraffe, impalas and hippos. We will proceed to Arusha in the late afternoon. Moshi Tour

The tour starts early the morn from Arusha to Moshi where we can drive direct to kibosho and visit one of the old church. (View of Kilimanjaro) Also we will take the time to walk around and explore fauna and flora in the river. After we will reach in main road for lunch and drink local beer then drive to Moshi town to walk around the city and have fresh coffee then drive back to Arusha.

13 - 14 Meru Waterfall 

This is a beautiful little waterfall, with its principal advantage being its proximity to Arusha. The journey from Arusha is just 7km and takes only 15 minutes. Having parked, there is a short walk that involves some steep ground and some clambering, but is quite manageable, even for young children. Once we reach the waterfall, it is usual to enjoy the environment and water flowing. It is good place to visit when you’re in Arusha.

Hot Spring

Chemka Hot spring is the best place to visit after hike or safari adventure. It is the only place in Tanzania, where the groundwater actively interacted with geothermal sources, forming a number of small lakes with warm. No trip to Arusha region is complete without taking a dip here.

17-18: Relax in beach

This day are spending in Beach where you can Choose from the various water Sports/activities on offer at the Diving Club on Site or just Soak It Up at hotel. Diving in Zanzibar can be Arranged in advance or spontaneously at the Hotel

Stone town

On this day After breakfast you Check out of Hotel in Nungwi and you Drive to Stone town. It is an opportunity to buy some spices as well as Souvenirs.

Back home

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport -Departure 

Depending on your flight schedule and departure Point you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport to take flight back home
